Welcome to the Parentalist. A new online project focusing on my latest and greatest adventure, fatherhood! I’ll be discussing issues of the day in my blog, giving a view of parenting through the tired and sleep deprived eyes of a new father with an irreverent view of child-rearing…part parent, part mentalist…the Parentalist!
It’s a work in progress but efforts so far have been focused on the blog, which has been in production now for almost 3 years and has documented our adventures of travel throughout Africa, setting up our new life in Cape Town and now starting our family. Over time I will be expanding resources hopefully including top tips or ‘What not to do’ and maybe a glossary, aka ‘WTF is THAT?!’ and there is a short biog section about the main protagonsists, ‘Meet the Team’ and our reviews in "Things We Like".
The aim of this website is to provide links to useful resources, to help, guide and advise, but mostly as a source of amusement as I fumble and bumble my way on a path to true parenthood along misguided attempts at doing the right thing via the wrong or at best doubtful route. I can only do my best and that may cause amusement along the way…I do hope so!

This is my place of words, my space to rant, rave and vent my spleen on all things about being a parent or becoming a parent, although I also reserve the right to waffle, wiffle and witter on any other subject I deem fit. Do not ever think that a title relates to the actual subject matter and never expect the issue at hand to start as it means to carry on or continue in the vein in which it started.
I am nothing if not tangential!
